Daily Activity Summary

Receive automated email reports summarizing AI agent activity for your organization.

Overview

The Daily Activity Summary feature delivers comprehensive activity reports directly to your inbox on a configurable schedule. Stay informed about what your AI agents are doing without logging into Control Bridge.

Each summary includes:

  • Quick Stats - Total executions, completed, escalated, and errors
  • Cost Summary - Token usage, total cost, and average cost per execution
  • Agent Activity - Per-agent breakdown with execution counts
  • Recent Escalations - Details of escalated items with links to execution details
  • Recent Errors - Error occurrences with troubleshooting links

Accessing Activity Summary Settings

Navigate to Manage > Account > Activity Summary to configure your summary preferences.

Configuration

Enabling Summaries

  1. Toggle the Enable Activity Summary switch to On
  2. Configure your schedule preferences
  3. Add at least one recipient
  4. Click Save Settings

Schedule Options

Daily Summaries

Daily summaries are sent at a specific time each day:

  • Time - Select the hour to receive summaries (e.g., 5:00 PM)
  • Timezone - Choose your timezone for accurate delivery timing

Weekly Summaries (Pro and above)

Weekly summaries aggregate an entire week of activity:

  • Day - Select which day to receive the summary (Sunday through Saturday)
  • Time - Select the hour to receive summaries
  • Timezone - Choose your timezone

Custom CRON Schedules (Pro Plus only)

For advanced scheduling needs, enter a CRON expression:

# Every Monday and Thursday at 9 AM

# First of each month at 8 AM
0 8 1 * *

Recipients

Summaries can be sent to multiple recipients using different methods:

To add recipients:

  1. Click Add Recipient
  2. Enter an email address
  3. Click the + button to add it
  4. Repeat for additional recipients

Testing Your Configuration

Before relying on scheduled summaries, send a test email:

  1. Click Send Test Email
  2. Enter your email address in the modal
  3. Click Send
  4. Check your inbox for the test summary

The test email uses data from the last 24 hours, giving you a preview of the actual summary format.

Viewing Send History

The history section shows all previously sent summaries:

Email Sections

The email includes the following sections (based on your content settings):

Quick Stats

Four cards showing at-a-glance metrics:

  • Total Executions
  • Completed
  • Escalated
  • Errors

Cost Summary

A table with:

  • Total tokens used (request + response)
  • Total cost for the period
  • Average cost per execution

Agent Activity

For each agent with activity:

  • Agent name
  • Number of executions
  • Total cost for that agent

Escalations

Recent escalations showing:

  • Time of escalation
  • Agent name
  • Subject/reason for escalation
  • Link to view execution details

Errors

Recent errors showing:

  • Time of error
  • Error category
  • Error title
  • Link to view execution details

Links to:

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Summaries

  1. Check Settings - Verify summaries are enabled and schedule is configured
  2. Verify Recipients - Ensure your email is in the recipient list
  3. Check Spam - Summaries come from noreply@outermind.ai
  4. Review History - Check send history for failed deliveries
  5. Verify Subscription - Trial: does not have access to this feature

Summary Shows No Data

This can occur when:

  • No agent executions occurred during the period
  • Agents are not configured or active
  • The time period is outside business hours

Send Failed Status

If a send fails:

  • Check the error message in send history
  • Verify the mailbox has send permissions
  • Contact support if the issue persists

Best Practices

Schedule Timing

  • End of Day - Receive summaries at 5 PM to review the day's activity
  • Morning Recap - Set for 8 AM to see overnight activity
  • Weekly Digest - Use weekly summaries for less frequent oversight

Recipient Management

  • Executives - Enable cost summary, disable detailed errors
  • Operations Team - Enable all sections for complete visibility
  • IT Team - Focus on errors and escalations

Monitoring Patterns

  • Sudden Spike in Errors - Investigate immediately, may indicate system issues
  • Cost Increases - Review high-cost executions for optimization
  • Low Completion Rate - Check for recurring issues causing failures
