First Week Report

Toward the end of an agent's first week, Outermind automatically generates a First Week Report - a narrative summary of what the agent learned about your business and working habits, along with a refined set of goals based on what actually happened during onboarding.

Overview

During its first week, an agent operates against a provisional goal set created during setup. The First Week Report closes the loop:

  • What it learned - a narrative covering the agent's observations about your business and how you work
  • Refinements applied automatically - small adjustments to goals (wording, minor scope) that don't need your approval, each with a visible change note
  • Changes that need your approval - material changes such as a new goal, a changed metric, target, or horizon, or a dropped goal
  • Provisional goals - goals that will be confirmed automatically when you approve the report, unless you reject them first

You'll receive an email when the report is ready, and it also appears on the agent's detail page.

Viewing the Report

  1. Navigate to Workforce > Agents > Agents & SMEs
  2. Open the agent
  3. Select the First Week Report tab

The tab shows a status badge:

StatusMeaning
Awaiting your reviewThe report has proposed changes or provisional goals that need a decision
Report unavailableThe narrative could not be generated this time, but the agent still graduates - you can still review and confirm goals
AcknowledgedYou've already approved the report; no action remains

Reviewing Proposed Changes

Material changes (a new goal, a changed metric/target/horizon, or a dropped goal) are listed under Proposed changes that need your approval. Each one shows the reason or change note. Click Approve on an individual change to accept it - approvals are tracked per change, so you can approve some and leave others pending.

Reviewing Provisional Goals

Goals that carried over from setup as provisional are listed under Provisional goals. These are confirmed automatically the moment you approve the report. If you disagree with one, click Reject before approving - a rejected goal will not be confirmed, even though the rest of the report is approved.

Approving the Report

Once you've reviewed the refinements, material changes, and provisional goals, click Approve report at the bottom of the tab. This:

  • Confirms any provisional goals you haven't rejected
  • Finalizes the agent's goal set for ongoing operation
  • Marks the report Acknowledged

If the report is report_less (the narrative failed to generate), the same approval flow still confirms your goal decisions - the agent doesn't get stuck waiting on a narrative that didn't come through.

Email Delivery

A copy of the First Week Report is emailed to the agent's owner when it's generated, so you don't need to be watching the console to know a decision is waiting.

Troubleshooting

No report showing yet

The report generates automatically toward the end of the agent's onboarding week. If the agent is newer than that, there's nothing to review yet.

Report says "unavailable"

The full narrative couldn't be generated for this cycle. The agent still graduates from onboarding, and any provisional goals or proposed changes are still available for you to review and approve on the same tab.
