Goal Spine (Boardroom)
The Boardroom's goals view renders each AICOS goal as a "goal spine" - a single card that shows the goal's time horizon, its progress against a metric, where it came from, whether it is confirmed or still awaiting your sign-off, and how it has changed over time. This replaces a flat goal list with a strategic view designed for a business owner reviewing AICOS's plan.
Horizon rail
Every goal shows a horizon lane on its left edge: 3m, 6m, or 12m. Goals created before the horizon field existed, or with no target date to infer one from, land in an Unscheduled lane rather than being hidden. Goals are listed 3m -> 6m -> 12m -> Unscheduled so the nearest-term work reads first.
Metric trajectory
If a goal has a typed metric (a name plus at least one of a baseline, current, or target value), the spine shows a small trajectory sparkline from baseline through current toward target, with a numeric readout. If a goal has no typed metric yet, the band shows a "No metric set" note instead of a blank space or a loading spinner.
Provisional, confirmed, and proposed goals
A goal can be in one of three states:

A proposal card is not yet a real goal - approving it is what creates the underlying AgentGoal record. Rejecting or editing it discards or revises the synthesized draft before anything is saved.
Provenance (owner only)
Synthesized goals carry a provenance panel showing the interview quotes and research citations AICOS used to build the goal. This panel is visible only to the goal's owner - it never renders for any other viewer, including other admins. On a proposal card the panel is open by default, since you are being asked to judge the synthesis; on a landed goal it is collapsed behind an expander.
If a goal predates provenance tracking, the expander does not appear at all rather than showing an empty panel.
Amendment history
When a goal has been changed after it was first created, a spine shows an amendment timeline listing each change:
- Material changes (e.g. a materially different target or timeline) are re-proposed for your approval, the same as a new proposal.
- Refinements (minor wording or metric adjustments) are applied automatically and appear in the timeline as a visible change note, with a before/after where applicable.
The amendment timeline only appears once a goal has at least one recorded amendment; a goal with no history shows no timeline section.
Decomposition
Each spine shows how the goal has been broken down into work: project count, completed projects, total tasks, and remaining tasks. These are the same counts used elsewhere in the Boardroom - no new setup is required to see them.
What you'll see if a stage hasn't run yet
The goal spine is designed to degrade gracefully rather than show broken UI while upstream data catches up:

FAQ
Why can't I see the provenance panel on a teammate's goal? Provenance is intentionally owner-only. If you did not create the goal (or aren't the recorded owner), the panel is hidden regardless of your admin permissions.
A goal I expected to see as "Proposed" already shows as a normal goal card - why? Proposals only render before they've landed in the system. Once you (or someone with access) approves a proposal, it becomes a real goal and is rendered as provisional or confirmed like any other goal.
Where did my old goal list view go? The goal spine is the new default rendering for Boardroom goals; it uses the same underlying goal data; no goals were removed or need to be re-created.
