Partner Entitlements
View and manage per-partner feature limits and overrides from the Global Admin Portal Partner Detail page.
Overview
The Entitlements tab on the Partner Detail page shows each feature's current effective value and whether that value comes from the partner's subscription tier or a partner-specific override.
Navigate to Global Admin Portal > Partners > [Partner ID] > Entitlements to open the tab.
Reading the Entitlements Table
Each row represents one entitlement feature.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Feature | The entitlement code (e.g. max_tenants, max_agents) |
| Tier default | The value defined by the partner's current subscription tier |
| Effective value | The value actually applied to the partner at runtime |
| Source | Where the effective value comes from - see below |
| Expires | For overrides with a time limit, the expiry date |
| Actions | Edit or remove the override |
Source values
| Source label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Tier default | No active override is in effect; the tier's default applies |
| Overridden | A partner-specific override is active and has not expired |
An override that has passed its expiry date is no longer applied at runtime, even if it has not been manually removed. The Effective value and Source will reflect the tier default once the override expires, while the expired override row remains visible so it can be renewed or deleted.
Adding an Override
- Click Add override in the top-right corner of the Entitlements tab.
- Select the feature code from the dropdown.
- Enter the override value.
- Optionally set an expiry date. Leave blank for a permanent override.
- Click Save.
The new override appears in the table immediately. The Effective value updates to the override value and Source changes to Overridden.
Editing or Removing an Override
Use the Edit and Remove actions on any override row - including expired ones - to update or clean up the record.
Editing an expired override and setting a future expiry date reactivates it.
Expired Overrides
When an override's expiry date passes:
- The runtime entitlement resolver stops applying the override. The partner's effective limit reverts to the tier default.
- The Entitlements tab reflects this immediately: Effective value shows the tier default and Source shows Tier default.
- The override row remains in the table with its expiry date visible, so you can renew or remove it.
This means a row with a past Expires date and Source = Tier default is an expired override, not an error. The partner is running on the tier default for that feature.
FAQ
An override row shows a past expiry date but Source = Tier default - is something wrong? No. The override expired and is no longer applied at runtime. The row is displayed so you can decide whether to renew it (edit and set a future expiry) or remove it.
Why can I still see and edit expired overrides? Expired overrides are kept visible so admins can audit what was set and easily renew them without re-entering all details.
The Effective value changed overnight without anyone editing it - why?
If a timed override reached its expiry date, the effective value automatically reverts to the tier default at expiry time. Check the Expires column and the partner's History tab for an override_expired event.
