Company Research
See what Outermind automatically learned about your company from your own website.
Overview
After your organization registers, Outermind researches your company using only your own website (your registered domain, exact matches only - no lookalike or third-party domains). The results feed your AI agents so they start conversations with the right context about your business instead of asking cold. The Company Research page shows you exactly what was found, in the same read-only view your agents use.
This is a read-only view in v1 - there is no manual re-run or edit affordance. Research happens automatically in the background; you don't need to trigger it.
Accessing Company Research
Navigate to Capabilities > Research > Company Research to view your research report.
What You'll See
Status
A status badge shows where the research stands:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Research is queued but hasn't started yet |
| Researching | Outermind is actively gathering information from your website |
| Complete | Research finished and the report is available |
| Failed | The last research run didn't finish - this can happen temporarily and your agents work fine without it |
| Skipped | Not enough information could be verified from your company's own website, so no report was produced |
Next to the status you'll see your registered domain, and once complete, when the report was generated.
Highlights
A short bulleted digest of the most important facts, shown as soon as research completes.

When the full report is available, it's broken into sections:

Links to the pages on your own website that the research was drawn from. Each opens in a new tab.
No Research Yet
If research hasn't run at all, the page shows an empty state explaining that Outermind researches your company automatically after registration and that the results will appear here once it runs.
How Agents Use This
Your agents (including CAIOO and your Personal Assistant) retrieve this same research digest at the start of interviews and onboarding conversations, so they can confirm and tailor questions instead of asking things they should already know. A missing or failed research report never blocks or changes an interview - agents fall back to asking normally.
Troubleshooting
Report shows "Failed" or "Skipped"
This is not an error you need to fix. Failed runs are usually temporary; skipped runs mean Outermind couldn't verify enough content from your own website. Your agents continue to function normally either way.
Report is "Complete" but sections are missing
If the status shows Complete but you see a notice that the full report is temporarily unavailable, the highlights are still current - only the detailed report is momentarily inaccessible. Refresh the page after a few minutes.
