AI Usage
The AI usage page shows how much AI your Personal Assistants used, and what it cost, broken down by assistant, kind of work, and model. It reads the same underlying data as Platform Usage, but presents it in assistant-facing terms for administrators of the Outermind Assistant console.
Accessing AI Usage
- From the Outermind Assistant admin home, open the AI panel.
- Click See full AI usage, or click AI usage from the panel header.
- Alternatively, navigate directly to Workforce > AI usage (
/workforce/ai-usage).
Viewing this page requires the executions:read permission. Business owners, collaborators, and operators have this by default. The page is only reachable if your account also has access to the Workforce hub.
What You'll See
Period picker
Choose Today, This week, This month (default), or a custom range. All sections below update to reflect the selected period.
Summary tiles
| Tile | Shows |

| AI spend | Total cost for the period, and whether it's billed from your Outermind credit or estimated from your own AI provider keys |
| Tokens used | Total tokens, split into tokens in and tokens out |
| Assistant runs | Number of times an assistant worked on something |
| Average per assistant | Total spend divided by the number of active assistants |
Spend over time
A bar chart of daily spend across the selected period, with a tooltip showing the exact spend and token count for each day.
By assistant
A breakdown of spend per Personal Assistant. Any spend not tied to a single assistant appears as a Not tied to one assistant row. Click an assistant's name to drill into that assistant's By kind of work and By model breakdowns; click again (or use All assistants) to clear the selection.
The By assistant breakdown shows spend only — never what an assistant found, wrote, or said.
By kind of work
Spend grouped by the category of work performed (for example, email handling, research, or scheduling).
By model
Spend grouped by the underlying AI model used. If you've selected a specific assistant and that assistant's privacy setting hides model detail, this section shows a notice instead of a breakdown. A link here lets you jump to Change AI models.
Show as tables
Every chart on the page has a plain-table equivalent. Click Show as tables to switch all sections to tables, or Show charts to switch back.
FAQ
Why don't the numbers match what I see elsewhere?
AI usage uses the same reads and calculations as Platform Usage (Governance > Usage), just scoped to Personal Assistants and labeled in assistant-facing terms. Numbers should always match for the same period.
Why is model detail hidden for one of my assistants? That assistant's privacy setting hides model-level detail from administrators. Spend totals still show; only the per-model split is withheld.
Can I see usage for a single assistant only? Yes — click that assistant's name in the By assistant section. The page title and the kind-of-work and model sections update to reflect the selection.
