Crayon PRISM Integration

Connect your Crayon PRISM partner account so agents can look up your vendor programs and price lists, direct customers and contract agreements, CSP tenants and their subscriptions, Azure usage, invoices and SPLA usage. PRISM (formerly rhipe) is Crayon's partner portal for the Asia Pacific region. Every PRISM tool is read-only.

warning

PRISM is a deprecated platform. Crayon is retiring PRISM. Crayon made its next-generation Cloud-iQ platform the global default on 30 September 2025, and the SoftwareOne and Crayon brands unify on 12 October 2026. The PRISM API still answers, but Crayon has published no end-of-life date for it, so it could stop at short notice.

Outermind keeps this integration for existing Australian and New Zealand partners who still run on PRISM. If your organisation has moved to Cloud-iQ, use the Crayon Cloud-iQ integration instead. Before you rely on PRISM for a new workflow, confirm with your Crayon account team that PRISM API credentials are still being issued for your partner account.

Partner tool. Crayon PRISM is only available to a tenant that is also an Outermind partner, on Workforce plan and up. The integration card carries a Partner tool badge; a tenant that is not an active partner (including a partner whose billing is suspended) cannot connect it.

Before you start

  • A Crayon PRISM partner account with API access (the rhipeapi entitlement).
  • A tenant admin in Outermind with permission to manage connections.

Get API credentials from PRISM

Outermind signs in to PRISM as an application, with the OAuth 2.0 client credentials grant and the rhipeapi scope. No PRISM user signs in, and no password is stored.

  1. In the PRISM portal at prism.crayon.com, obtain an API client for your partner account. If you cannot create one yourself, ask your Crayon account team.
  2. Make sure the API client has the rhipeapi scope.
  3. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.

Connect in Outermind

  1. Open the Capabilities hub, go to Connections, and open Crayon PRISM. The page is at /capabilities/integrations/prism; the form is on the same page.
  2. Click Connect Crayon PRISM.
  3. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret, and submit.
  4. Outermind requests a token and makes one test call to PRISM. If the token is issued but the call is refused, the error asks you to check that the partner has the rhipeapi entitlement.
  5. Grant the PRISM tools to each agent that needs them from the agent's Tools tab (Workforce > Agents > Agents & SMEs).

What your agents can do

Every action below is class read and tier read, so it runs without asking a person at every autonomy level.

ToolActionsWhat it covers
prism_programslist, list_pricesThe vendor programs you are enrolled in, and the price list published for a program and currency on a given day.
prism_customerssearch, list_contract_agreements, list_tenantsYour direct customers (found by name or identifier), contract agreements, and the CSP tenants under a vendor program.
prism_subscriptionslist, get, list_addons, list_products, get_usage, list_usageA CSP tenant's subscriptions and their NCE license fields, available add-ons, the consumption catalog, and Azure usage summaries and line items.
prism_billinglist, download, list_spla_usagesInvoices by year and month, one invoice's CSV, and SPLA usage reports.

Safety

  • Read-only. No PRISM tool has a write, delete or admin action.
  • Invoice CSVs stay summarised. Agents are told to summarise or parse an invoice CSV, never to repeat it to a person verbatim.

Testing and disconnecting

  • Test Connection checks that PRISM still issues a token and answers.
  • Update Credentials replaces the stored client ID and secret. Use it if the page says the API token has expired or the connection needs reauthorization.
  • Disconnect Crayon PRISM removes the connection and unassigns the PRISM tools from every agent.
